SPECIAL OFFER

Once you have gained a reader's interest and they trust you enough to make that first purchase, you should always follow up with a special offer to keep them coming back. But your marketing plan should not ignore those who do not buy the first time. So we'll take a look at both types.

The first example is not actually a part of the eBook itself, but part of the second module above (the eBook Website Package). I include it here because of its similarity to the second part, for the First-Time Buyer.

THE NON-BUYER

One common method in winning over the visitor who looks at your product but does not buy is to create what is called an "exit page" - a page (or even small pop-window) that appears when they leave the original page. Because so many people (myself included) do not like pop-ups and may even have pop-up blockers installed on their browser, I prefer the exit page as page of its own.

This page could offer a discount ... or it could offer bonus products - all to entice a visitor to buy. Often, after running into this approach, many buyers will leave the page hoping to find a special discount or bonus offer. Take a look at this example EXIT PAGE.

THE FIRST-TIME BUYER

Personally, I like to give every buyer a surprise bonus gift, something they did not expect. Now I may use bonuses to sell them in the first place, but the EXTRA bonuses are just that - extra, above and beyond their expectations. I want them to think, "Oh, wow! Look at this! I didn't know I was going to also get this!"

Describe these bonuses on your THANK YOU PAGE and Zip them all up in one file along with the product they purchased. We'll get into the details of this when we build the Thank You Page and Zip (or compress) all of our files into one easy-to-download file. This information will also be covered somewhat under The Sales Page.
